Welcome to the Magical World of Alan Taylor
After buying his first magic trick on the Isle of White aged 5, Alan knew he was a magician.
As a junior magician he won the ‘Southend Sorcerers Magician of the Year Award’ and the ‘Home Counties Magic Society Most Promising Act Award’.
After leaving college in 1992 Alan performed his first children’s show. This then continued into a tour around the South East Essex area, allowing Alan’s fantastic magic show to be born.
Alan has worked in some exciting places performing his show including: Action Stations at Lakeside, UCI Cinema Thurrock and Basildon Bowl to name a few. This is as well as hundreds of children’s parties, fetes, weddings and christenings. Alan has performed in back gardens, front rooms, pubs, on the west end, TV studios, comedy clubs and tries to make every performance special.
Alan has also enjoyed some TV fame performing his magic show. His first TV appearance came in 1997 on the Barrymore show, which was the highest ranking episode. Alan had various celebrities supporting him on the show including: Barbra Windsor, Heather Mills and the Nolan’s.
Alan’s 2nd, 3rd and 4th appearances on TV arrived on the first season of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007. He impressed the judges so much he made it through to the second round. All these appearances can be found on the Videos page on the website, which have all been popular on YouTube receiving 160,000 views.
He also performs at restaurants and is currently at the Outback Steakhouse UK franchise, where his brand of comedy magic has customers returning week in and week out.
His shows are designed to make your event special and fun; “you pay for the magic but the comedy comes free!”
